Join a respected academic cardiology department in Springfield, Illinois, as a full-time General Cardiologist. The position is available as the current general cardiologist transitions to an interventional fellowship in mid-2025, ensuring a smooth, well-supported transition.

Practice Opportunity

• Academic cardiology program with nine fellows and subspecialty faculty in electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, and advanced imaging

Schedule & Call

• Structured workweek with predictable clinical responsibilities
• Weekend rounding only during inpatient service weeks

• Active teaching role with cardiology fellows, residents, and medical students
• Participation in weekly conferences, Grand Rounds, and educational case reviews

Compensation & Benefits

• Generous base salary with additional earning potential

Who You Are

• Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Cardiology
• Eligible for medical licensure in Illinois
• Interest in academic medicine, education, and collaborative care
• TEE experience preferred but not required
