CARDIAC AND PERIPHERAL PROCEDURES
Scrub Role for a busy interventional cardiac cath lab.
- Diagnostic Left Heart Catheterization
- Right Heart Catheterization
- Coronary Angiography
- Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI)
– Balloon angioplasty
– Stent placement (DES/BMS) - Intravascular Imaging Support
– IVUS - Physiologic Assessment Support
– iFR - Temporary Transvenous Pacemaker Insertion
- Pericardiocentesis
- Thrombectomy/Atherectomy
- IABP insertion assistance
- Peripheral Vascular Interventions
– Renal, iliac, SFA, tibial - IVC filter placement
- CardioMems
Monitor Role
(Controls imaging, hemodynamics, documentation)
- Operate fluoroscopy and hemodynamic monitoring systems
– GE Mac-Lab - Document procedural events in real-time
- Record and interpret hemodynamic waveforms
- Calculate cardiac output, valve gradients, and other pressures
- Manage and time contrast injections
- Track radiation dose and manage fluoroscopy time
- Capture and store images in PACS
- Anticipate procedural steps and imaging needs
- Communicate pressure changes, arrhythmias, and complications to the physician

- Cardioversion Assistance

Monitor Role for EP
- Operate fluoroscopy for catheter guidance
- Document on Cardio-Lab Hemodynamic monitoring system
- Document procedural steps, ablation lesions, time stamps, and event logs
- Manage 3D mapping systems (CARTO, Opal) Build and maintain electroanatomic maps
- Record intracardiac electrograms and assist interpreting arrhythmias
- Monitor patient rhythm, intervals, conduction changes
- Communicate critical rhythm changes (e.g., AV block, VT induction)
- Track ablation parameters:
– Power, temperature, impedance, contact force - Track radiation exposure and minimize fluoroscopy
- Coordinate EP stimulator pacing protocols
Rad. Tech.-Hospital
Pay Range: $26.35-$40.84
Radiologic Technology – Hospital
Job Description
Radiologic Technologist is responsible for the performance of quality radiology procedures in a safe manner.
Hours: 5:30pm to 6:00am, rotating weekends and holidays, no on-call duties.
Openings: 2 Night Shift (5:30 – 6:00am)
1 day shift (hours are flexible)
Required: AA/AS degree, AART (R) within 1 year), IEMA
Clinic Rad Tech
Pay Range: $25.08-$38.87
Clinic Radiologic Technologist: responsible for providing diagnostic images within the clinic environment and dependent upon the type of clinic can be responsible for phlebotomy and registration of patients.
Hours: Rotating weekends and holidays
Weekday Hours: 3:00pm – 7:00pm
Weekend Hours: 8:00am – 3:00pm
Required: AA/AS degree, AART (R), IEMA
