Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJoin Our Team as a Cardiologist ImagerOur organization is on the lookout for a Board Eligible/Board Certified Cardiologist Imager to enhance our Department of Cardiology. We are a prominent academic medical center and a key regional hub for advanced structural heart disease, seeking a Level III trained cardiologist with specialization in Advanced Structural Echocardiography and Intraprocedural Guidance to become part of our well-established cardiovascular team.
This role presents a unique chance to play a vital role in our rapidly growing Structural Heart Program, where you will engage in a wide array of innovative transcatheter therapies within a collaborative academic setting.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for delivering advanced structural echocardiographic imaging, which includes:
- Intraprocedural 2D/3D TEE guidance for various procedures such as:
- TAVR with leaflet modification techniques (BASILICA, UNICORN)
- Mitral TEER
- Transcatheter mitral valve replacement (including M3)
- Tricuspid TEER
- Tricuspid Replacement (Evoque)
- Paravalvular leak closure
- Left atrial appendage occlusion
- Closure of ASD, VSD, PFO
- Mechanical Aspiration of Intracardiac Mass (AngioVac, AlphaVac)
- Other advanced structural heart procedures
Additional duties will encompass:
- Interpreting advanced echocardiography results
- Collaborating within a multidisciplinary Structural Heart Team alongside Structural Interventional Cardiologists and Cardiothoracic Surgeons
- Educating fellows, residents, and medical students
- Engaging in clinical research, trials, and program development
- Opportunities for leadership roles within the Echocardiography Laboratory for qualified individuals
- MD or DO degree (or equivalent)
- Board certified or eligible in Cardiovascular Disease
- Level III training in Echocardiography
- Specialized training and expertise in Advanced Structural Cardiac Echocardiography and Intraprocedural Guidance
- A strong passion for academic medicine, education, innovation, and clinical excellence
- Experience in cardiac CT or multimodality imaging is a plus
This position includes an academic appointment within our affiliated School of Medicine, offering a competitive salary and benefits package. Compensation & BenefitsExpected Total Annual Compensation: $450,000 - $550,000
The listed compensation range pertains to the starting base salary and will be adjusted based on experience and faculty rank, ranging from $350,000 to $434,000. This figure includes variable compensation and is subject to departmental compensation plans, with further details discussed during the recruitment process.
